As many of your know Justin’s leg is just not healing and we will be taking the next step to get back on track, yes that means another surgery 🙁 . So we will be taking another long pause on our home renovations but at least I can still decorate and re decorate!

I was in Instagram a couple weeks ago and while watching a friends story I got some really good advise, Shop your home! At first I did not understand what she meant, but the I realized she was rearranging decor from her bedroom to her guest bedroom for a refreshed look. What a great idea!!! A perfect idea for someone like me who is on a tight budget. So I started thinking about the items I own and what I could move around to give our rooms a new look. For our guest room, I didn’t move furniture like she did, but I brought a tray table up that we were not using and decorated it with things I had around the house.

My two favorite additions are this print of Shiloh the cow. I met the photographer in my instagram community and I instantly fell in love!! Those eyes of innocence are just captured perfectly! She has an etsy.com shop called DownShilohRoad where you can find her prints. –> link

My second favorite addition is the wood bead garland that I made myself. 🙂 I have seen so many home decor images with these beads but unfortunately they are all out of my budget. I decided to make them myself. 🙂 I used 20mm beads from Micheal’s that came in a pack of 27 for $4.50 plus I had a 50% off coupon so thats all I spent! I strung them on some left over twine and Voila!

I also added my super cozy cable knit blanket to add some texture to the bed as well as some lamb’s ear mixed with my DIY cotton stems!

Overall I just made a few simple changes that gave the room a fresh new look and I barely spent a dime!

Of course Susie enjoys this room so much especially once I added her favorite cozy blanket 🙂

Hope you all have a fabulous week!
