So I was very hesitant on buying the Walmart flocked Christmas decorations but for the price I figured I would give it a shot. I have some mixed feelings about them but overall for the price I think they were a good purchase
I purchased the 6ft unlit flocked tree for $30. I planned for it to go in our front living room since that room is only half way done and a Christmas tree in the corner would fill the empty space. when I got it home and took it out of the box the flock just started pouring off. I could not touch it with out it snowing on me. It was not the clumpy flock it was fine so it really got everywhere. I also made the mistake of wearing a knit sweater while putting it together so the flock stuck to my sweater sleeves (that was fun getting off) but hat was my fault. Once it was set up and fluffed I was pretty disappointed in the height. I am 5′ and Justin is 6′ this tree is more like 5.5′ on a good day. Other than that little disappointment I was pretty happy with the look of it. It is definitely on the smaller, skinny side but again for $30 it was the perfect addition to this room. Definitely a good buy if you are on a budget!
Speaking of budget. Previously we used a 6ft prelit tree from Target. My original plan was to just flock this myself but when the materials alone cost $20 plus the hassle and mess of actually doing it, I was totally on board with just buying a pre-flocked tree. This also allowed me to just have another tree in my house 🙂
Now I already talked about the flocked garland so I will just update you on my thoughts. I am so happy with my purchase and I have already forgotten about the annoying unboxing processes. It just looks so pretty on our mantel and is holder up great with the heat from the fireplace.
So overall I am pretty happy with the Walmart flocked Christmas decor products. As you know I am NOT a fan of Walmart but when the price is right Ill take it! Though my feelings may change when I go to take this all down and my house is covered in white snow again. Ill update you next year 🙂
